Gift Certificate Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: April 2, 2026
Issued By: Harmony Place, LLC (“Harmony Place”, “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)
1. General Use
This Gift Certificate (“Certificate”) is issued by the Company and may be used solely toward a qualifying reservation at Harmony Place. Purchase, possession, or use of this Certificate constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
This Certificate represents a limited contractual right to apply its value toward lodging services and does not constitute a deposit account, stored-value account, or prepaid access device beyond its stated use.
This Certificate retains its full face value and is redeemable in accordance with applicable law. Any promotional or enhanced redemption value is offered as a conditional benefit, may require advance purchase or other eligibility criteria, and is not part of the certificate’s face value.
2. Compliance with Rhode Island Law
This Certificate is governed by Rhode Island General Laws § 6-13-12 and all applicable consumer protection laws.
Accordingly:
- No expiration date applies to this Certificate
- No dormancy, inactivity, or maintenance fees shall be imposed
- Any term that conflicts with applicable law shall be automatically modified and enforced to the maximum extent permitted
- Nothing in these Terms shall be construed to waive or limit any non-waivable rights under Rhode Island law.
3. Enhanced Redemption Value
The Certificate may be eligible for an enhanced redemption value of up to 125% of its stated face value, as a conditional promotional benefit subject to these Terms.
- The enhanced value is applied as a cash payout following check-in.
- The enhanced portion is not part of the Certificate’s guaranteed face value and is not separately transferable.
- If the Certificate is redeemed outside of the eligibility requirements, only the original face value will be honored in accordance with applicable law
4. Advance Purchase Requirement (180-Day Rule)
To be eligible for the enhanced redemption value, the Certificate must be purchased at least 180 days prior to the scheduled check-in date of the reservation to which it will be applied.
- Certificates purchased fewer than 180 days prior to check-in are not eligible for the enhanced redemption value. The Certificate’s full face value will still be honored.
- Such Certificates may still be used for a future qualifying reservation, for the enhanced redemption value, that complies with all Terms
- This requirement is a usage condition, not an expiration or fee, and is intended to support operational planning and fraud prevention
5. Redemption Timing
The Certificate may only be applied after the renter has physically checked in to the property.
It may not be applied towards:
- Reservation deposits
- Booking holds
- Pre-check-in balances
- Security deposits
Redemption occurs only when applied to a completed check-in and qualifying stay.
6. Single Booking Limitation
The Certificate is valid for one (1) booking period only. It must be applied in full to a single reservation
Any unused portion is automatically forfeited upon completion of that stay
7. No Splitting or Partial Use
The Certificate:
- Cannot be divided, apportioned, or used across multiple reservations
- Must be applied in full during one booking transaction
- Partial redemption, carryover balances, or incremental usage is not permitted.
8. Non-Combination
- Only one (1) Certificate may be used per booking period
- Certificates may not be combined with:
- Other gift certificates
- Promotional offers or discounts
- Third-party booking incentives
Unless expressly authorized in writing by the Company.
9. No Cash Value (Subject to Law)
All Gift Certificate sales are final and non-refundable. Each Gift Certificate is issued as prepaid value for future lodging services with the Company. The certificate’s full face value will be paid to the customer as a cash payout following check-in for an eligible booking, in accordance with applicable law. This payout does not create a bank account, stored-value account, or other financial account.
A promotional or enhanced redemption value may be offered for certificates purchased a specified period in advance of check-in, as determined by the Company. Any such promotional amount is conditional, clearly disclosed at the time of purchase, and does not constitute part of the certificate’s face value.
The certificate is valid for a single booking, cannot be split or combined, and may only be redeemed as described above. This provision does not limit any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
10. Availability & Seasonal Operation
The Certificate is valid only when the property is open and available for rental
There are no blackout dates, but all bookings are subject to:
- Seasonal closures
- Existing reservations
- Maintenance or operational limitations
- Availability is not guaranteed, and the Certificate does not confer priority booking rights.
All bookings remain subject to operational, maintenance, and seasonal availability. The Company is not liable if a Certificate cannot be redeemed for a desired date.
11. Reservation Requirements
All reservations remain subject to:
- The Company’s rental agreement
- Payment terms and deadlines
- Security deposit requirements
- House rules, occupancy limits, and policies
Failure to comply may result in denial of redemption or termination of the stay without refund of Certificate value.
12. Cancellation, Changes & Reuse
If a reservation to which a Certificate has been applied is cancelled, rescheduled, or otherwise modified:
The Certificate may be reinstated at the Company’s sole discretion
Reuse is permitted only if:
- The Certificate has not been fully redeemed
- The holder remains in full compliance with these Terms
- The Certificate is applied to a future qualifying booking within a commercially reasonable time period determined by the Company
- The Certificate may only be redeemed in connection with a completed check-in and qualifying stay, or at the discretion of the Company.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

16. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
By purchasing or using this Certificate:
The purchaser agrees not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute except in cases of fraud or unauthorized transaction
